When we backtrack to Commodore's beginning, his start in the film industry began as a stage play actor late 2007 and film actor in 2008. Since the rebranding of his first production company from MalaCom Production (established 2012) to CIF the multi-faceted Commodore Independent Filmworks has extensively written, produced and directed to expand its repertoire of loglines, synopsis’, treatments and scripts. In 2021, Commodore won two screenplay competition awards for his feature, "Her Defense."
While production spans the U.S. yearlong, it was 2022 when Commodore found personal solitude in his native of Maryland. He created many amazing projects, two Christmas projects, two features, and notably, Commodore Independent Filmworks is credited with creating and producing the intriguing faith-based drama series, “Mercy Rd.”(2023), starring Actor/Co-Producer Julian Brittano, Gospel Legend Fred Hammond and the talented actress singer Jordan Babbs. As CIF explores distribution of "Mercy Rd.," we recall the pilot episode screening in Maryland that became its proof of concept and was attended by talent based nationwide.
Commodore Independent Filmworks is championing an initiative that expands workforce and economic development for Maryland.
Commodore holds professional membership at the Writers Guild of America (WGA). https://m.imdb.com/name/nm5690751/fullcredits
