Adding to his collection, he earned two screenplay competition awards for his feature film, “Her Defense” (2021).
While production spans the U.S. yearlong, it was 2022 when Commodore found personal solitude in the confines of his home and contributed in the creation of many amazing projects, two Christmas projects, two features as an Associate Producer, and to quench his thirst for more of OWN's hit series “Greenleaf,” Commodore Independent Filmworks created and produced the intriguing faith-based drama series, “Mercy Rd.” (2023), starring “Greenleaf” Actor Julian Brittano, Gospel Legend Fred Hammond and the talented actress singer Jordan Babbs.
As CIF explores distribution of "Mercy Rd.," the vivid recollection of its pilot episode screening in Maryland, as its proof of concept, was attended by talent from as far as California. Commodore Independent Filmworks is championing an initiative that expands workforce and economic development for Maryland.
Notably, Commodore holds professional membership at the Writers Guild of America and in 2024 was accepted into the esteemed Producers Guild of America.
