Tiffany L. Gill, Founder and Chief Story Inspirer of Black Girls Unscripted, is a Baltimore-based storyteller and nonprofit leader with nearly two decades of experience in empowering Black women and girls through healing, justice, and joy.
Her extensive career includes successful marketing, communication, and fundraising initiatives for major organizations like Boys & Girls Clubs, Goodwill, and Big Brothers Big Sisters.
In 2014, Tiffany launched Black Opal Media, a communications company focused on impactful campaigns for underserved communities, and founded Black Girls Unscripted (BGU), an empowerment initiative that helps young Black girls reconnect with their voices and find positive female mentors. Through BGU’s global reach, Tiffany has mobilized thousands of Black women and girls via events, workshops, and digital interactions.
A sought-after speaker on nonprofit leadership, media literacy, and social justice, Tiffany has been recognized by the White House as a Nominated Changemaker at the Obama Administration’s State of Women Summit, and was a L’Oréal Women of Worth finalist.
Her writing appears in The Root, Ebony, and The Huffington Post, and her story has been featured on platforms like The Tom Joyner Morning Show. Tiffany’s deep-rooted passion for African American history and advocacy is matched by her love for vintage finds and chocolate desserts.
Through her work, Tiffany continues to inspire and create spaces that celebrate and uplift the narratives of Black women and girls.
